Fit: Fits mid-size and full-size beds 40 to 64" wide inside and 4'10" to 8' long. Carries 1 to 3 dirt bikes with the tailgate closed, depending on bike size, bed length, and bike spacing. The Three includes the Moto Offset Kit (2 adapters). The One and Two don't include adapters. Two bikes in a bed under 5'5"? You need the Moto Offset Kit, sold separately. With some enduro fenders the rear fender can touch the tailgate, and Big Days suggests a 1 to 2 inch block, a 2x4 or a ramp under the rear tire. Description

The Trailbreaker is a truck bed dirt bike rack built on the Big Days Chase Rack System. It carries 1 to 3 dirt bikes upright in the bed with the tailgate closed, so the hitch stays free for towing and the backup camera and sensors stay clear.

About 40 cubic feet of bed space stays open under the rack for tools, camping gear and recovery equipment. Built in Utah from steel and aluminum.

Not compatible: any RAM with RamBox, the 2006 to 2014 Honda Ridgeline, Tesla Cybertruck, Hyundai Santa Cruz, Chevy Avalanche, GMC Hummer EV, and GMC Sierra with the CarbonPro bed. The 2017+ Honda Ridgeline and the Rivian R1T don't work with the standard clamp-on setup, per Big Days.

Bed and bike size: 40 to 64 in inside bed width, 4 ft 10 in to 8 ft bed length, motos 125 to 850cc, per Big Days. Trucks with Deck Rail need the Deck Rail clamp.

Short beds: with some enduro fenders the rear fender may touch the top of the tailgate, and Big Days suggests a 1 to 2 inch block, 2x4 or ramp under the rear tire when needed. For 2 dirt bikes in a bed under 5 ft 5 in, add the Moto Offset Kit. The Three includes the kit. Ford Maverick needs the Maverick-specific rack.

Tonneau covers: works with T-track tonneau covers (adapter sold separately) or covers that leave at least 3 in of flat bed rail outboard of the cover. Folding and retractable covers work well, tri-fold covers can't fold all the way, and solid one-piece covers do not work. Tonneau setups use the bolt-on mount and skip the lower crossbar, per Big Days.

Bed clamp or bolt-on: which mounting is right for my truck?

Bed clamp (no drilling): the rack clamps directly to your truck's bed rails with a mounting kit matched to your truck. If your bed rails have a factory track with tie-down points, common on Toyota trucks, the clamp uses the Deck Rail kit instead, also with no drilling.

Bolt-on (permanent, drilling required): the rack bolts directly to your bed rails for a permanent install. You drill four 3/8 in holes into the top of your bed side rails, so you need a power drill and a 3/8 in bit.

Confirm your truck and mounting type (bed clamp, tonneau, or bolt-on) before we place your order.

What is included in the One, Two and Three, and what does each price cover?
Each price covers the complete configuration listed here. The One (1 bike), $1,300.00, is the Chase Rack base plus 1 moto mount. The Two (2 bikes), $1,600.00, is the base plus 2 moto mounts. Do I need the Moto Offset Kit?
The Three already includes it. For 2 bikes in a bed under about 5 ft 5 in, add the Moto Offset Kit, which is sold separately because the Two does not include it. Per Big Days, the kit moves the bikes 3 to 4 inches farther forward and improves tailgate clearance.
Which trucks does it fit?
Per Big Days, it fits Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 2500 and 3500 and Colorado; GMC Sierra 1500, 2500 and 3500 and Canyon; RAM 1500, 2500 and 3500; Toyota Tundra, Tacoma, T100 and Hilux; Nissan Titan and Frontier; Ford F-150, F-250, F-350, F-450 and Ranger; and Jeep Gladiator, in beds 40 to 64 in wide inside and 4 ft 10 in to 8 ft long. How many dirt bikes can it carry, and how much weight?
It carries 1 to 3 dirt bikes upright, depending on bike size, bed length and bike spacing, per Big Days. The One holds 1 bike, the Two holds 2 and the Three holds 3. Big Days rates the rack for 900 lb of static weight, and what you can carry while driving is also limited by your truck's bed and payload rating, so follow your vehicle manufacturer's payload specifications. Per Big Days, the moto mount cradles the front tire and takes tires up to 5 in wide.
Will the tailgate close with the bikes loaded?
The rack is designed to carry bikes upright with the tailgate closed. Per Big Days, on compact and midsize trucks the bikes may need to be positioned slightly sideways to fully close the tailgate. With some enduro fenders the rear fender can touch the top of the tailgate, and Big Days suggests a 1 to 2 inch block, a 2x4 or a ramp under the rear tire when that happens. Big Days says the Ford Maverick requires the Moto Offset Kit and may have limited tailgate clearance depending on the configuration, and it needs the Maverick-specific rack.
Can I use it with a tonneau cover?
Per Big Days, many tonneau covers are compatible, but compatibility depends on the cover style and how it mounts.
How long does installation take, and what tools do I need?
Big Days lists installation at about 30 to 60 minutes and rates it 2 out of 10 for difficulty, with minimal technical knowledge required. You need basic hand tools: the included 4 mm Allen wrench and a 13 mm wrench or socket. A bolt-on install also needs a power drill and a 3/8 in drill bit.
