The GRAYL GeoPress Ti Black Edition is the 24 oz GeoPress Ti purifier with a Black Titanium PVD coating over its CP4 Grade 1 titanium bottle. GRAYL says the coating withstands abrasion, corrosion, drops and fire, and reduces friction while pressing. The finish makes the bottle easier to handle and clean, and the branding is laser-etched in gold.

It works like every GeoPress: fill, press and drink, with a fastest flow rate of 8 seconds per 24 oz (5 liters per minute). The titanium outer cup doubles as a pot for heating water near a flame or on a camp stove.

Key Features

  • CP4 Grade 1 titanium. A high strength to weight ratio.
  • Black Titanium PVD. A high-performance coating that withstands abrasion, corrosion, drops and fire and reduces friction while pressing. Laser-etched branding in gold.
  • OnePress global filtration and purification. GRAYL rates it effective for use on all 7 continents. Fill. Press. Drink.
  • Heat it up. Using the butterfly handles, the outer Ti cup can heat water and cook food alongside hot coals or near a direct flame. It also works with the GRAYL Titanium Camp Stove.
  • Drink-mix ready. A pre-installed one-way valve lets you add electrolytes or a sport drink mix without compromising the filter cartridge media.
  • SimpleVent Drink Cap. Twist the cap 1/2 turn to vent air while you press. The wide contoured spout pours fast for chugging and filling hydration reservoirs and other bottles.
  • SoftPress Pads. TopoGrip pressing pads give an ergonomic, non-slip pressing surface.
  • Paracord D-ring loop. For filling in tricky spots such as foot bridges, whitewater and canyons.

Filtration and Purification, as Stated by GRAYL

  • Removes: "waterborne pathogens (99.99% of viruses, 99.9999% of bacteria, 99.9% of protozoan cysts), including Rotavirus, Hepatitis A, Norovirus, Giardiasis, Cryptosporidium, E. Coli, Cholera, Salmonella, Dysentery and more."
  • Filters: "particulates (i.e. silt, microplastics, etc.); ultra-powdered activated carbon effectively adsorbs chemicals (including PFAS & VOCs), pesticides, heavy metals, flavors, and odors."
  • Testing standards: "independently tested by a certified laboratory to meet or exceed NSF/ANSI protocol 42 and 53 for pathogen and chemical removal; meets the United States Environmental Protection Agency's Guide Standard and Protocol for testing microbiological water purifiers."
