Description

The Ikos Evo is a Sea to Summit tent for camping, redesigned for 2026 with improved weather protection while keeping its airflow and multi-mode pitching. Tension Ridge architecture creates more internal space and taller doors.

It is built tough with recycled 68D polyester and DAC poles. Symmetrical architecture and color-coded poles simplify setup, and a gear loft and groundsheet come with it. The rectangular floor fits Sea to Summit Large Rectangular sleeping mats.

Why it works

  • Tension Ridge poles for more room and taller doors
  • 68D polyester and DAC MX 9.6 mm poles
  • Apex Vent with water-resistant zippers and a storm flap
  • Hangout and stargazing pitch modes
  • Color-coded poles and symmetrical layout for quick setup
  • Gear loft and groundsheet included
  • Recycled, bluesign APPROVED, non-PFAS fabric

Questions

How is the Ikos Evo different from the Telos Evo?
Per Sea to Summit, the Ikos uses heavier materials for its fabrics and pole sets and offers more interior space, which makes it the heavier tent. The Telos uses lighter materials for its ultralight focus. The Ikos is built from 68D recycled polyester with DAC MX poles for vehicle or self supported trips.
Can an adult stand upright in the Ikos TR4?
No. Sea to Summit designed the Ikos to be wind stable for poor weather camping outside of snow, so its peak height is too low to stand upright, even in the TR4. The maker lists peak heights of 41.34 in for the TR2, 42.91 in for the TR3 and 51.18 in for the TR4.
Which Sea to Summit mats suit the Ikos floor?
The Ikos has a spacious rectangular floor plan that Sea to Summit says fits its Large Rectangular sleeping mats perfectly. That sets it apart from the lighter Telos, which the maker pairs with tapered mats. The Ikos is freestanding and 3 season in TR2, TR3 and TR4 sizes.
Does the Ikos Evo come with a groundsheet?
Yes. Sea to Summit includes a footprint, also called a groundsheet, plus a gear loft with the Ikos Evo for added protection and organization. The tent also has an improved Apex Vent with water resistant zippers and a closeable storm flap to keep weather out at the peak.
Can the Ikos TR4 be set up as an open hangout shelter?
Yes. Per Sea to Summit, with trekking poles or Hangout Mode poles added, the Ikos can be tilted into a semi enclosed shelter. The tent also has a stargazing mode, so it adapts as conditions change through the day and night at camp.
How quickly does the Ikos Evo go up?
Sea to Summit says the symmetrical architecture, intuitive hardware and color coded poles enable quick setup and takedown. The maker sells the Ikos Evo in TR2, TR3 and TR4 sizes. Adjustable stake out points let you fine tune inner tension and stake placement on rocky or uneven ground.
