Description
The Rugged Radios G2 Mini Radio Kit packs full-size 30 watt GMRS performance into a compact, remote-mount radio and bundles it with an antenna and mount. This G2 Mini radio kit comes with the UNI-MAG mount for either NMO or magnetic mounting and a 12.5 in POINT5 no ground plane tuned whip antenna, so it is ready for almost any vehicle.
The small radio body installs out of sight, and every control lives in the IP67 waterproof hand mic for a clean install. It uses Rugged's Amplify 2.0 design with a Mitsubishi transmit amplifier for stable power during continuous transmissions, and the RIDEui menu keeps settings easy to find.
You get all 15 standard GMRS channels, 10 repeater channels, 259 privacy codes and weather alerts. Choose speaker audio from the back of the hand mic, the base unit or both.

Fit
Universal mobile radio, not vehicle specific. The small body mounts almost anywhere in the vehicle.
Not for: intercom communications. A headset or helmet kit connects through the accessory port on the hand mic.
Talks to: all GMRS radios, including Rugged, Motorola, Midland and Uniden, and FRS radios on channels 1 to 7 and 15 to 22.
License: Rugged Radios states that a GMRS license is required to transmit on GMRS channels.
