Questions

How warm are the two Boab temperature ratings?
Per Sea to Summit, the 30°F Boab has an ISO comfort rating of 36°F (2°C) and an ISO lower rating of 30°F (minus 1°C). The 15°F Boab has an ISO comfort rating of 25°F (minus 4°C) and an ISO lower rating of 16°F (minus 9°C). Both use synthetic Revive Loft insulation.
Does the Boab unzip into a blanket?
Yes. Sea to Summit runs a full-length side zipper through the footbox, so the Boab opens completely flat for use as a blanket in warm weather. Double zipper sliders and a shoulder snap let you vent it, and the roomy, tapered rectangular shape is ideal for side sleepers.
Which Boab size suits my height?
Per Sea to Summit, the Short is for users up to 170 cm (66.93 in), the Regular and Regular Wide up to 185 cm (72.83 in), and the Long up to 198 cm (77.95 in). The Regular Wide measures 86 cm (34 in) across, compared with 76 cm (30 in) for the Regular.
How heavy is the Boab and how small does it pack?
The 30°F Regular weighs 1391 g (49.1 oz) and packs to 17 x 11 x 7 in, while the 15°F Regular weighs 1914 g (67.5 oz) and packs to 20 x 12 x 8 in, per Sea to Summit. A compression sack is included, and Sea to Summit lists car camping, travel and overnight treks as intended uses.
What is the Boab made from?
A 50 denier, RCS-certified recycled shell and liner with a non-PFAS DWR finish, per Sea to Summit, filled with RCS-recycled, bluesign-APPROVED Revive Loft insulation. A YKK #5 two-way zipper with a zipper plough runs snag free, and a draught tube along the zip holds in warmth. Boab is a 1% for the Planet product.
